Why are Societies Different Then...?

If we all go through the same stages throughout the human life course, don't you wonder why societies differ in such distinct ways. I believe this happens because our development is influenced by our social experiences and ways of life. We can see this by observing individuals within the same stage of development. For example, why are some teens very rebellious while others are fairly focused in school etc? The reason may be that the rebellious teens were kept under strict rules when younger and were confined. Therefore, upon getting older and realizing their strong desire for independence, they become rebellious and try to free themselves. The teens that are focused could have been granted some degree of independence from an early age; therefore, they found it unnecessary to roam about carelessly. These are just some plausible explanations for one of many scenarios. The fact remains, however, that every day social interactions do influence the development of human life.
